UNC Chapel Hill Breakup/UVa B'ball Meltdown

First UVa: We lost to MIAMI!!!! They are a bottom-dweller in the ACC. On the bright side though, we are still tied for 2nd place, albeit with Virginia Tech. We NEED to beat Georgia Tech at home this weekend though to remain in the hunt and keep out NCAA dreams alive. It was like being in the stone-age though (but not really). Because I couldn't get radio down here, I was checking ESPN, but b/c the game was not televised, their updated scores were slow. I tried using The Sabre to update, but near the end of the game it was hard to connect b/c so many people were doing the same. Even w/technology it's not always instantaneous!

Now for the UNC Pit Breakup: I heard about this on The Bert Show this morning. This guy at UNC broke up with his community college girlfriend at the Pit at Chapel Hill:



An a capella group called the The Loreleis sang the Dixie Chicks song Not Ready to Make Nice. Check out the link to the Lorelei's message board above...quite amusing.

It was funny to hear Bert talk about this on the radio b/c it was obvious he had no idea what a southern school was like...he described the Pit as a big area where "apparently" students congregated, and described the Loreleis as "a band", not an a capella group.
