Lundi Gras

Even though I'm still a little bit in recovery mode from the NASCAR/Daytona 500 party up in Marietta yesterday, it is Lundi Gras after all, which means the unveiling of Rex and Mayor Nagin handing over the city to him for all of tomorrow. Many of the locals say they just stay up all night for the parades b/c Zulu starts at 8 AM tomorrow! Then by dinner time tomorrow everyone's asleep, and the police clear Bourbon Street at midnight sharp.

Tonight we're having red beans & rice in honor of the day. I can't figure out however if CNN/Fox, etc. will be covering Mardi Gras day tomorrow or not. It looks like Anderson Cooper might be there.

Also, UVa is ranked 24th & 18th in the two polls in B'ball, with a fairly easy schedule ahead of us. The only away games are abysmal Miami and Wake (who could be tough). Looks like we're going dancing!
